Description
This is a introductory level course. Students must have a good gun safety skill set to attend as well as must have successfully passed the Canadian RESTRICTED Firearms Safety Course.
Having one of the following courses completed successfully prior to attending our workshop is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Successfully passed Canadian Shooting Sports Association Safety Class or Club level Safety Class/Orientation
- Law 9 (Quebec)
- Any of Arcane Defense Live Fire Courses/Workshops
- IPSC Black badge; or
- Have taken part in at least 2 IPSC/IDPA/Steel challenge practise matches; or
- Having passed a law enforcement/military/security course of fire with a pistol.
This is the Fifth course in our workshop series.
This course will go over the basic theory of how to properly use a Handgun to acquire and effectively engage a target.
Some of the topics we will cover are the following: techniques for shot accuracy, marksmanship principles for shooting a various distances, methods for acquiring the sight and go over a few skill enhancement drills.
**Pistol are provided for this course, but participants can bring their own firearm.
**Participants must bring their commercially purchased ammunition (9mm Luger ammunition) or can purchase from us at the course.
